Weekly Message: January 18, 2025

Good evening Wildcat Families, this is Principal McNeill with your weekly updates. There will be no school on Monday, January 19 in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. Also, January 26th will be a Teacher Workday. The end of the second quarter is Friday. Please encourage your student to check their grades on Infinite Campus and make sure that all of their assignments are submitted.

There will be a registration meeting for parents of all rising 7th and 8th graders for the 2026–2027 school year on January 28th from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Families are encouraged to attend to receive important information regarding the registration process.

EGMS will host our first family game night on February 20. In order to make this event a successful one, we need to know our families’ interest level. Please fill out the form on our website if you will be able to attend by January 26th. We look forward to your response!

The EGMS Athletic Boosters are hosting a t-shirt fundraiser, and we would appreciate your support. Please use the QR Code located on our website to place your order. All orders must be submitted by January 23rd.

The P.O.P.S. (Positive Ongoing Paternal Support) initiative is a dynamic effort aimed at fostering a positive atmosphere within our school, bolstered by the influence of strong male role models. Our goal is to create an environment where all students thrive, building on the foundation of affirmation-based practices and the principles of Commitment, Leadership on all Levels, and Accountability (CLAW) – the Wildcat way. If you are interested in being part of this initiative, please contact the front office.

Tuesday our girls and boys basketball teams will play Southwest at Southwest. Our wrestlers will have a match against Southwest at home on Tuesday. Thursday our girls and boys basketball teams will play Jamestown at home. Also, our wrestlers will have a match against Jamestown at Jamestown. Please come out and support our Wildcats.

Congratulations to the following for being nominated for Wildcat of the Week: Ranferi and Peyton. Keep up the great work! Remember, any one of you could be the next Wildcat of the Week. Let’s continue to inspire one another and make a positive impact every day. Go Wildcats!"

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out. Enjoy the rest of your evening.
